Jamaica

Brief Overview

A national tobacco control regulation prohibits the use of e-cigarettes in all public places and on public transportation in Jamaica.

Nicotine-containing e-cigarettes are classified as medicinal products under the Food and Drugs Act. As such, they must be registered with the Ministry of Health, and no approval has been granted for these products to date.

The Food and Drugs Act prohibits the sale, distribution, importation or manufacture of a drug that is not registered with the Ministry of Health, so finding high-quality imported products for sale may prove to be very difficult in Jamaica.

There is currently only one known store in Jamaica, located in Kingston.
