Flooding is when an atomizer wicks too much e-liquid onto the coil for the coil to be able to vaporize in a given time, eventually leading to a gurgling noise and potentially increasing the chances of spitback occurring. Flooding can also cause excess e-liquid to leak out of the topper through the airflow holes and possibly down the 510 connector. E-liquid flowing down the 510 connector can cause damage to the electronics inside or lead to a short circuit, becoming potentially dangerous in extreme scenarios.

Currently located in Sydney, Australia, I have been vaping since 2009 and became active in the e-cigarette industry in late 2015. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of visiting over 700 shops in 6 countries.
