Amperage refers to how many amps your battery is capable of outputting continuously (or in a burst). Higher amperage ratings mean you’re putting less stress on your batteries. High Amperage is generally a trade off for mAh ratings though, higher mAh ratings usually mean lower potential continuous amp output. This is an especially important factor to keep in mind when choosing a battery for mechanical mods.

An Ampere is the base unit of electrical current, see the ohms law entry for information about how this unit relates to e-cigarettes.

Currently located in Sydney, Australia, I have been vaping since 2009 and became active in the e-cigarette industry in late 2015. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of visiting over 700 shops in 6 countries.
