China

Brief Overview

The import, export, sale, possession and use of e-cigarettes in China is legal, although tougher tobacco laws introduced in certain places like Shanghai, for example, prohibit vaping in non-smoking areas.

China is the manufacturing hub of the e-cigarette industry, and as such, vaping is very commonplace throughout most of the major cities.

Although, due to China’s main focus being wholesale export it is uncommon to find retail stores, and purchases may need to be made either online or by visiting one of the many industrial areas.
