As of 2013, the importation, distribution or selling of e-cigarettes is banned in Bahrain.
The fine for violating this law is stated as “no less than 20 Dinars (US$53) and no more than 50 Dinars (US$132) for each violation”. While this law does not seem to cover the purchase, use or possession of e-cigarettes, we insist you use caution if you decide to purchase and use an e-cigarette in Bahrain.
We also strongly suggest you do not bring e-cigarette products with you in your luggage or on your person, as this would be classified as importation and will most likely result in the above fines.
