Cambodia

Brief Overview

Cambodia has completely banned e-cigarettes, saying the increasingly popular products contain damaging levels of nicotine and are leading young people to take up smoking.  The National Authority for Combating Drugs (NACD) ordered authorities to immediately cease the import, use and sale of e-cigarettes across the country.

Legally, all e-cigarette products found by authorities in any situation will be confiscated.  This includes products found for sale in retail outlets, products found in luggage or on your person, and products being used in public.

Having said that, there are many reports from travelers who state that bringing e-cigarette products in their carry-on luggage is yet to pose an issue, and using your e-cigarette device in designated smoking areas while in the company of the abundance of smokers found in Cambodia will also not pose an issue.

We suggest that you abide by all current laws in Cambodia, but urge you to make intelligent decisions if you personally choose to possess or use any e-cigarette products in Cambodia, and at least abide by the current smoking laws. (Available in the tab below)
