Ethiopia

Brief Overview

There are currently sub-national bans on smoking in all public places, and these laws also apply to e-cigarettes.  There is also a nationwide ban on the importation of e-cigarettes and e-liquids, so you will most likely not find any locations to purchase these products.

For vaping indoors or inside your accommodation we suggest that you abide by current smoking laws until further information is gathered from the embassy. (Available in the tab below)

Smoke Free Places: Designated smoking areas are allowed in all indoor workplaces and public places except in government offices, education facilities, healthcare service facilities, and in places that provide services to children or youth under 18 years old. Smoking is prohibited in outdoor areas of educational institutions and any other place that serves children.
